5 Must-Have Wedding Photos You Can't Miss
As seasoned Pittsburgh wedding photographers, we have a few specific shots that we have deemed must-have wedding photos. Everyone does the usual ceremony photos and family photos, but these shots have that little extra something that we love!
1. Bride with bouquets around her
It’s a trend, and for good reason - we love it! This is a great way to highlight your florals and also always a great bridal portrait. We think it looks amazing and we love how it really does look different each time we do it!
2. Jump on the groom
We like this prompt because it brings out the dynamic of true joy that these friends have. It always looks different depending on the friend group, which makes it a really fun engaging photo. It always results in genuine smiles and laughter so we love it for that reason most of all!
3. Under the veil
Getting the couple under the veil together can feel cozy or silly (depending on the couple!) but either way, it always looks so romantic! We honestly love when they feel silly because it makes for cute smiles. There are so many ways to approach this one setup which allows for great variety in the gallery. We love how it can look to photograph from under the veil with the couple (we told you it can be silly!!) but also when we photograph the two of them under the veil from afar looks really beautiful and cinematic as well!
4. Dance at the camera!
This must have wedding photo prompt gets us the light drag dance floor photos we love to do! These photos look especially great when guests dance toward the camera and engage with us. We super love photographing people dancing, jamming, and having a good time!
5. Frolic your heart out!
We love to give this prompt for golden hour couples photos. At this point in the day, it is really about soaking up this moment together. We want to give the couple that opportunity to just be in each other's presence and enjoy the moment fully (“omg we are married!”). When we say "we want you to frolic at/away from us," it really brings out the most genuine joy and playfulness in couples. We love love love it for that reason! Bonus points for gowns that are long and flowy - they have such nice movement which looks amazing in photos. This is your Pride and Prejudice dream realized!
