Passionate Florist Branding Photoshoot | Bloom and Grow

When people think of branding photos, they want the photos to really feel like them. Lily of Bloom and Grow said those exact words when she reached out for a florist branding photoshoot. She had some photos of her working, but not anything of who she is, and she wanted to change that. I was so excited to be able to work with her and bring her vision to life!

Before the photoshoot, Lily and I talked about her vision for the session and created a shared Pinterest board to make sure we were on the same page with what she was hoping for. I loved so many things she chose for this shoot: from the floral pieces to her outfits! The floral pieces she had were able to be set up in different ways, allowing us to create a lot of variety in her images. And her overalls! I loved that look, and the outfit with her leather work belt.

Lily’s vision for this florist branding photoshoot was in a studio, and Opya Studio was perfect. I specifically thought of this studio because of its amazing skylight. I thought it would lend itself really well to Lily’s floral artistry by bringing in the natural light.

Everything was so casual during this shoot, and that familiarity and relaxation shows in the photos. She wanted to be barefoot, and I feel like that fit for who she is and how she connects with the earth, flowers, and just her way of being in the world.

We had talked ahead of time about planning out photos and GIFs that would work well for her social media and website. We were able to get such great variety through different set ups, her having fun, and shooting some on film, yet altogether her session has such a cohesive feel. That cohesiveness really helps when someone is wanting to establish their brand, which was something important to both of us going into this florist branding photoshoot. She really wanted to show her business growing, feel like she is stepping into who she is as a florist, and reach the kinds of clients who value the incredible work she does!

Lily has a beautifully grounded yet whimsical personality and she brings this to her work so fully and beautifully. She is so knowledgeable and I loved listening to and asking her to explain things to me about her work. I feel like we really got the essence of who she is and what she does to come through so beautifully in her photos!

Something that really stood out to me was how Lily knew instantly she wanted to work with us on her own florist branding photoshoot after seeing another florist’s session with us.

The fact that she knew we would create something totally unique for her that wasn’t a copy of the other florist’s session showed that she knew how much we value storytelling and how that informs our work. Even though they are both florists, the two sessions were so different. They both speak so strongly to who that person is and what their story is. That is something we are really good at - we want to get to the heart of who you are and tell that story!

Want to work with us to tell your story? Let’s do it!
